One platform instead of ten tools
Why separate island solutions slow down everyday school life — and what changes when chat, files, tasks and processes work together.
Many schools today work with a colourful mix of tools: a messenger here, cloud storage there, plus a survey tool, a calendar and a form page. Each of them is fine on its own. Together they make a patchwork — and that costs time and nerves every day.
The problem is the hand-overs
The problem is not the individual tools, but the gaps between them:
- A registration arrives by email — and has to be copied into a spreadsheet by hand.
- An approval is discussed in the messenger — but not recorded anywhere.
- A file sits in the cloud — but who changed it last, and should everyone really be able to see it?
Each of these hand-overs is a small source of errors. Added up, they create extra work, uncertainty and the feeling of constantly having to chase things.
What changes when everything belongs together
Prilog is deliberately one platform: chat, files, tasks, parent letters, calendar and processes share the same foundation. That makes the hand-overs disappear:
- A request runs through as one case — from filling it in through approval to the reply, without switching media.
- Who may see and do what is one question of role — not ten separate settings in ten tools.
- Nothing is lying around “on the side” somewhere: you can trace who did what and when.
Data protection is not an afterthought
All of this runs on servers in Germany, with data protection from the start and no cookie trackers. At school in particular this is not optional but a duty — and it is easier when data sits in one reliable place instead of being scattered across many services.
