Less administration.
More time for school.
Sick notes without phone calls, parent-teacher conferences without lists, deadlines that don’t slip by — so that the school office, teachers and school leaders have their time for the children.
In use at schools in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The machine counts.
A person decides.
Prilog works out deadlines, timetables and workload, sends reminders and records what was done. The decisions are made by the people who know the children — not by a program, and not by AI.
A school day with Prilog
A perfectly ordinary Monday.
Six moments in which Prilog takes work off a school’s hands — and one in which more is at stake.

7:30
The phone stays silent.
Ms Petersen unlocks the school office. Twelve sick notes are already in — sent by parents from their smartphones last night and early this morning. The class teachers see them in their daily overview. Nobody has to write anything down and pass it on.

Lena knows where to go.
Lena, 12, is standing outside the 7a classroom. Her timetable was built with care in the spring: the demanding subjects in the morning, no free period spent in the corridor. And Mr Okafor, who looks after his mother on Mondays, has his lessons back to back on three days.

The leave request is decided.
At the weekend, a mother requested a day’s leave for her child, for an aunt’s wedding. During the long break, the class teacher sees the request — right next to it, how often the child has been absent this half-year — and approves it. No routing slip, no pigeonhole in the staff room.

Fire alarm.
Halfway through the third lesson, the alarm goes off. At the assembly point only one question matters: is everyone out? From the timetable, Prilog knows for every lesson which classes, with how many children, and which teachers are scheduled to be in the building. The school leaders trigger the emergency — everyone signed in sees the alarm, the checklist runs, and every step is recorded.
The “scheduled in the building” display is coming with the next update.

The deadline doesn’t slip by.
There has been no sign of Marten since Monday, and nobody has reported him absent. Today the persistent-absence traffic light is red: day 3, home visit due. The call to his parents is documented with one click. What happens next is for the class teacher to decide — Prilog just makes sure it isn’t forgotten.

Three appointments, no phone call.
Ms Yilmaz has three children at the school. From her sofa she books three meetings for the parent-teacher conference — one after the other, with no overlap, no paper slips and no phone calls. In the morning, the teachers see their afternoon already planned.

And everything that happens in between.
Chat for each class, parent letters with replies, documents with versions, written reports with approval, student meetings, rooms — all with one login. Every area is explained step by step in the manual (in German). What we are working on right now: cover planning.

You don’t have to change everything at once.
Many schools already work with a school platform, a timetabling program or their federal state’s messenger. Prilog can start alongside them — with the area that is most pressing today. If it proves itself, the next one follows.
Just parent-teacher conferences
Your next parent-teacher conference runs through Prilog; everything else stays as it is.
Just absences
Parents report absences digitally, and the persistent-absence traffic light keeps an eye on the deadlines.
Just requests
Leave of absence and consent forms run digitally, with approval.
Trust is a must
Data protection isn’t an add-on for us.
It’s built in from the start.
We have built Prilog with data protection as its foundation from day one — not as an afterthought.

Data processing under Art. 28 GDPR

Who is behind Prilog
From school, for school.
Prilog is developed by Leander Seyffer. He teaches computer science and eurythmy at a Waldorf school in Hamburg. What is being built here comes from an everyday life we know ourselves: the phone ringing in the school office at half past seven, the lists for the parent-teacher conference, the question of who is covering today.
In the blog we write openly about how Prilog is made and the questions that occupy us along the way.
